Dear Diary:
I'm here at Hogwarts now. The Sorting Ceremony was neat--I sat on a stool while a hat was put on my head and talked to me. Yes, a hat talked to me! I wonder what else is in store for me for the next seven years? Anyway, I was Sorted into Ravenclaw, which made me happy. Mum and Dad had nothing bad to say about it, so I figure it's going to be a very nice House to be in.
The feast after the Ceremony was very nice. I ate until I was ridiculously full and didn't have to worry about anyone telling me that I've become a right pig when it comes to food, which is what Mum sometimes says when she thinks I've eaten my fair share of food. Dad just tells her that I'm still growing and therefore I need to eat a little bit more every now and then. I love Dad. He has common sense, which has gotten rather rare as of lately.
